I. Accessing Your Billing Portal
- Initial login: Texas Tech University students can access personal billing data and submit payments by logging into Raiderlink. You must use your unique eRaider username and password to access the system.
- Navigation Path: Once you are successfully logged into Raiderlink, navigate to the MyTech tab. Select the Student Business Services drop-down menu and select the eBill link to enter the secure billing portal.
II. Using the eBill System & Submitting Payment
- Account Overview: The eBill system serves as a central hub where you can view your current account balance, a detailed history of all transactions, past statements, and all available payment options.
- Payment Methods: After you have reviewed your balance, select the Make a Payment option. You may choose between the following methods:
- Electronic Check: You will be required to provide both your bank routing number and your specific account number.
- Credit Card: You will need to enter the card number, the expiration date, and the security code. Please note that any applicable service fees for card usage will be clearly disclosed before you finish.
- Finalizing the Transaction: After entering your details, carefully review the payment summary screen. You must manually confirm the transaction to ensure it processes successfully.
- Verification: A confirmation page will appear immediately upon submission. Additionally, a confirmation receipt will be sent to your official university email address for your personal records.
III. Security and Privacy Guidelines
- Protecting Your Credentials: Students must never share their eRaider username and password with parents, guardians, or any other third-party bill payers. These credentials grant access to private academic, financial, and personal data and are strictly for the student’s individual use.
- Authorized Users: If parents, guardians, or any other third-party bill payers are helping with costs, do not give them your login credentials. Instead, add them as Authorized Users within the eBill system.
- Benefits: Authorized Users receive their own unique login credentials. This allows them to view statements and pay tuition on your behalf without gaining access to your Raiderlink or private academic records.
- Compliance: This method ensures student privacy and keeps the university in compliance with federal regulations.
- Troubleshooting: If you encounter any login issues, use the eRaider account management system to reset your password yourself rather than granting access to anyone else.
