Use for appeal process questions or to submit your Excessive Hours Appeal Form
For students that have not met the eligibility requirements of their exemptions or waivers, there are certain hardship provisions taken into consideration by the University. Please apply for an appeal if you feel you meet one of the following qualifications:
- A showing of a severe illness or other debilitating condition that could affect the student's academic performance.
- An indication that the student is responsible for the care of a sick, injured, or needy person and that the student's provision of care could affect the student's academic performance.
- The student's active duty or other service in the United States armed forces or the student's active duty in the Texas National Guard or
- Other causes considered on an individual basis.
For students notified of an Excessive Hours issue, please complete and upload the Excessive Hours Appeal via the Excessive Hours Appeal Service Question button.
Please note that submission of an appeal does not guarantee that it will be granted. In the event the appeal is approved, the exemption/waiver requested will be reapplied to the student account.
Students that have exemptions or waivers that have been removed due to SAP issues (GPA or Completion Rate/Pace issues), please contact the Financial Aid office to file a SAP appeal.
