Past Term Balances

A past term balance is money you still owe from a previous school term.

Texas Tech University may be able to help you pay this balance over time. This help is provided by Financial Resolutions.

Repayment Help

Financial Resolutions offers payment plans for some students with past term balances. These plans let you make monthly payments instead of paying the full amount at once.

Payment plans may last up to 12 months. Not all students will qualify. Financial Resolutions must review your account before a plan can be approved.

Who Can Qualify

To be considered for a payment plan, your account must meet this requirement:

  • Your balance cannot be with an outside collection agency

If your balance has already been sent to a collection agency, Financial Resolutions cannot set up a payment plan. You would need to work directly with the collection agency instead.

Financial Resolutions determines who qualifies after reviewing the student account.
