Drop Dates For Texas Tech Undergraduates and Graduates

  • Dropping a course(s) during a semester means that a student is still enrolled in classes for the current term.
  • You cannot drop to zero hours. Follow the official withdrawal  process through the Texas Tech University Registrar's Office. 
  • Texas Administrative Code Title 19, Part 1, Chapter 4, Subchapter A, Rule 4.10 limits the number of allowable drops for an undergraduate student to a total of six (6) for all institutions of higher education attended.
  • Dropping a course(s) can be done on Raiderlink via the MyTech tab.
  • Drops do not count against the grade point average and are noted as a DG on the transcript.

    Dropping a class after the census date listed below will not result in a credit back of tuition and fees & requires you to pay for the course. 
Fall 2026
Drop by September 9 or earlier
These dates only apply to drops
Early Online Fall 
Drop by August 17th or earlier
These dates only apply to drops
Late Online Fall 
Drop by October 26th or earlier
These dates only apply to drops
