Body
Your GI Bill "Rate of Pursuit" is the percentage at which you are enrolled compared to full-time status. It dictates your Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) and stipend calculations. To receive MHA under the Post-9/11 GI Bill, your rate of pursuit must be greater than 50%.
Full Time Status
For TTU undergrad students enrolled in traditional courses 12 hours for the term is considered full-time.
For TTU graduate students 9 hours is traditionally considered full-time but may vary for certain programs.
For TTU Online student 6 hours in an 8 week term is considered full-time status.
How Rate of Pursuit is Calculated
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) calculates this by taking your enrolled credit hours and dividing them by the credit hours your school considers full-time.
Formula: (Credit Hours Enrolled/Full-Time Credit Hours) * 100 = Rate of Pursuit
